"Regular" means the film is projected on film. DLP is a digital projection format. I noticed that films shot digitally look better in DLP. Films shot on film tend to look bettter projected in film. But these differences are really minimal, and the average person probably wouldn't notice. (I work in post production, so I'm a bit more sensitive to this sort of thing!) In general, film has a much higher range from solid black to solid white than digital. DLP has increased that range into the millions of colors for digital, which has always been a problem with video of any sort since it was invented. But even with DLP technology, digital still doesn't reach the contrast ratio of film. Give 'em a few more years though!
